Each year in Munich, Bavaria - close to six million people gather to celebrate one of the world's greatest ever inventions – beer!

As the largest fair in the world, this legendary event has been running since 1818 and attracts revellers from across the planet for 17 days of celebrations.

Guests not only drink themselves merry but also indulge in some of Germany's great culinary delights, including copious amounts of Schweinsbraten, Haxn, Steckerlfisch and Würstel.
