Emmerdale actors Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have welcomed a little boy.

22-year-old Webb gave birth to son Buster Lawrence Wolfenden on Saturday and the proud new parents are said to be "delighted" with their new arrival. He is the couple's first child together.

Wolfenden, who has played Dales businessman David Metcalfe since 2006, said: "Buster is amazing and we are both completely besotted with him."

The happy couple met on set at the ITV soap, where Webb has played single mum Debbie Dingle for seven years.

Webb, who is currently on maternity leave from her character as mechanic Debbie, is set to the soap later this year.
