Film fans have voted US president George Bush as movie villain of the year.
The poll recognises his starring role in Michael Moore's controversial film Fahrenheit 9/11, which became the best performing documentary of all time following its release in June.
Currently, Mr Bush is telling the American public that he is the only man who can protect America and defeat terrorism ahead of the presidential elections on November 2nd, but the readers of Total Film magazine cast him in a different light.
The magazine's readers decided that Bush outdid power-hungry megalomaniacs like Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man 2), eye-patched assassin Elle Driver (Kill Bill) and psychopathic fellow Texan, Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), in villainy.
"The overwhelming response of our readers voting Bush top villain just goes to show how frightening people found him in Fahrenheit 9/11," Total Film's editor Matt Mueller told Reuters.
"He was absolutely terrifying in that film. The infamous scene where he's informed about the Twin Towers attack while visiting a school, and sits there absolutely paralysed, is enough to strike fear into anyone's heart," he said.
More than 10,000 people voted in the poll.
