Fans of the Bridget Jones movies have voted British star Kate Winslet as their favourite choice to replace Renee Zellweger, should she decide to not to make a third film.
Following the adaptation of the second Bridget Jones book, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Zellweger is rumoured to be considering a break from filmmaking to "drink coffee with my friends".
Although movie-buffs only expect the star to be away for a year or two, a poll conducted by skymovies.com shows an overwhelming popularity for Winslet to take up the role. At 41 per cent, the Titanic leading lady beat the next contender, Reese Witherspoon, hands down. Witherspoon scored 21 per cent.
In third and fourth place for the role of the chubby British singleton were Friends' star Jennifer Anniston and ex-Brookside babe Anna Friel.
