Cilla Black is planning to make a television comeback with the BBC, reports indicate.
According to The Mail on Sunday she will front a new prime-time celebrity quiz show.
The Liverpudlian is already filming a pilot for the show, according to the newspaper. It is set for a Friday night slot on BBC1.
The BBC says the pilot will see Rory Bremner and Jo Brand captain two celebrity teams, it will not be aired.
An insider told the newspaper: "This is hugely exciting for Cilla. She's been looking for the right vehicle ever since leaving Blind Date. She can't wait to be back in front of a camera and an audience.
"The idea is to have a panel hosted by Cilla, two captains and star guests each week. The programme is all about celebrities and, with all of Cilla's famous friends, the BBC is guaranteed a constant stream of them."
Cilla has been absent from our screens since she quit ITV's "Blind Date" when the format changed last year.
