Shrek 2 is officially the UK's most successful animated film.

The movie has taken 45.6 million since hitting cinemas earlier this month.

Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers return to provide the voices of Princess Fiona and the big green ogre, Shrek.

Eddie Murphy is also back, revising his role as Donkey.

New additions to the cast include Antonia Banderas, who has been going down a storm with moviegoers providing the voice of Puss in Boots.

Shrek 2 takes the most successful animated film crown from Toy Story 2, which earned 44.3 million.

Myers and Diaz are rumoured to have netted 10 million a piece for the film.
