Apprentice finalist Kate Walsh is to co-present a news magazine show on channel Five.
Walsh, who was runner up in the BBC show losing out only to Tasmina Siadatan, will join ex-footballer Ian Wright and Melinda Messenger on 'Live From Studio Five'.
She said becoming part of the presenting team was "an exhilarating and thrilling challenge", adding: "I can't wait to get stuck into daily live TV."
'Live From Studio Five' will start in September taking an early evening slot.
The broadcaster described she show as "forthright and chatty". It will also feature location reports, interviews and discussion linked to the day's news stories.
Five controller Richard Woolfe said other broadcasters' approach to early evening TV was "totally predictable" and the new format would "put Five on the map".
Since leaving The Apprentice, Walsh has hosted a women's fashion segment on GMTV.
