Emmerdale vet Zoe Tate will lose it completely after she is made to give up her little nephew.

The devastated lesbian takes to drink to try and numb the pain of losing the little tyke to Charity Dingle. As she sinks into alcoholism Zoe, played by Leah Bracknell, forgets to take her medication for her mental illness.

Last time the village vet succumbed to the illness she tore the village apart, torching the church and trying to seduce the vicar Ashley.

"Zoe has been having a difficult time recently and clings to the belief that she can keep Noah after Charity is released from prison," a soap insider told The Daily Star today.

"But the court rules against her. She's devastated and her illness returns. There'll be some explosive storylines," the source added.

Zoe's descent will see her locked in a mental institution, the Star reports.
