"You talkin' to me", Robert de Niro's words to himself in the mirror from the film Taxi Driver, has been voted the best line in film history.
UK cinema managers were asked to decide on their all-time favourite lines from the movies - and De Niro's 1976 utterance came out top
The poll by the Odeon cinema chain found Sean Connery's oft imitated "The name's Bond - James Bond" came in second, but it was the third placed entry that started the ball rolling.
"What's it all about?" uttered by Michael Caine as the final line of the 1966 version of Alfie, was third. And the fact this classic of British cinema is being re-made got people wondering what the best line in the history of cinema was.
"The upcoming release of Alfie sparked off some debate with the cinema managers and it's nice to see almost 40 years on from the original release it appears up there in the top ten best catchphrases of all time," said Richard Storton, Odeon's marketing manager.
"Catchphrases from films have always managed to find their way into everyday language and I'm sure everyone has their own personal favourite," added Storton.
"The top ten also shows that it's the old catchphrases that have stood the test of time," he added.
Caine makes it onto the list twice, with "you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" from The Italian Job coming in at seventh on the list.
"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn", from Gone With The Wind (1939) was the oldest film on the list - with "Yeah, baby, yeah" from 1997's Austin Powers the most recent entry.
