The search for a new star on TV talent show X Factor has opened with the news that a contestant with a proven heritage is in the running.
Derane Obika, 28, will be seen wowing judges Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell with his silky, melodic vocals.
And who is he exactly? He's the older brother of R'n'B star and former TV talent trek contestant, Lemar.
While the brothers used to sing in their lounge, pretending to be the Jacksons when they were kids, it was Lemar who became the successful pop star following his appearance on the BBC's Fame Academy.
However, Derane's performance for the judges indicates that his younger brother may soon have to contend with a new name on the scene.
After his performance, the judges tell him he's "got what it takes", before he eases through to the second round, reports the Sunday Mirror.
Derane is one of 75,000 people who have auditioned for show, which is as much about the music as it is about the squabbling and conniving between the judges.
Recently, Sharon Osbourne had to rubbish news reports that she and her family were charging tourists to take tours of their mansion in the US - these were in fact just mischievous rumours made up by fellow judge, Louis.
