Big Brother runner up Makosi Musambasi is said to be taking an Aids test after finding out that an ex-lover in Zimbabwe has the disease.

The feisty former nurse received a text message from her former partner, who told her that he had caught the disease, but he has now cut off communications with her.

Makosi admitted that she had had unprotected sex with the man while they were together, which is thought to be for six months.

She famously insisted that she had had sex with Big Brother winner Anthony Hutton while they were in the hot tub, though Ant has consistently denied this.

Makosi, who was a nurse at Wycombe hospital before she appeared on the show, had to resign from the position as she would not be given the time off.

According to the Sunday Star, Makosi is now considering leaving Britain to become a nurse in the third world.

Makosi's agent Jonathan Shallit said: "Makosi came from a poor African village and now she wants to use her fame from Big Brother and her skills to advance her nursing techniques all over the world."
