X factor hopeful Chico Slimani claims that he faces losing his home unless he wins the ITV talent show.

The cheeky performer, who has worked as a stripper and used to be a Moroccan goat-herd, told the Daily Star: "I haven't paid the mortgage. I have to get far in this show otherwise I won't have a home."

London-based Chico, 34, is pinning his hopes on being offered a record contract once the show finishes so that he can pay off his massive debts.

But he came dangerously close to being axed from the popular show last Saturday and newly blonde X factor judge Sharon Osbourne has since vowed: "I am going to bin Chico this weekend."

During his raunchy performance of Do Ya Think I'm Sexy, the audience were in stitches as he added the line: "Sharon, you're so sexy."

Young hopefuls Addictiv Ladies were devastated when they were voted out of the contest on Saturday after Louis Walsh used his vote to save Chico.

Hunky Chico said: "In this business the downfall of most people is the ego thing. It's all about being humble and having a very good team around you. Once you come off stage the alter ego goes.

"All my life I have been fighting for a big break. Hopefully this is my time."
