The Sunday Times has released the list of richest sportsmen in Britain with Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton landing on top of the list with an estimated fortune of £68m.
The paper revealed that Hamilton added £8million to his wealth in the past year alone.
Another motor racer, Jenson Button, bagged the second spot with £63m. Wimbledon champion Andy Murray made it to the list with £40million. The richest footballer, Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney is at number four with £60million to his name.
Among the things that were considered in survey include land, property, shares in publicly quoted companies, and other assets. However, it excludes bank accounts because the paper has no access to them.
