Brits triumph at the International Emmys...

British talent has won big at the International Emmys, picking up five out of a possible 10 awards.

Julie Walters led the winners, taking home the gong for best actress for her portrayal of the late politician Mo Molam in Channel 4Â’s Bafta-winning, Mo.

Christopher Eccleston was honoured as best actor for his role in Jimmy McGovern's Accused on BBC One. The series also won the award for best drama series.

Chorister Gareth Malone took home the best arts programme award for his series Gareth Malone Goes to Glyndebourne.

The series documented a group of teenagers training to star in a new opera production for the world famous Glyndebourne opera house.

The non-scripted entertainment award went to BBC ThreeÂ’s The World's Strictest Parents, while British export Nigel Lythgoe - who was a judge on Popstars - was given an honoury prize.

Lythgoe said:

"Every the bridesmaid, never the bride - tonight is fabulous and I'm thrilled."
