Bosses at Coronation Street are expecting a big reaction from their latest plot twist.
Confused teenager Todd Grimshaw has been flirting with homosexuality in a long-running plot, as he flits between gay nurse Karl Foster and pregnant fiancee Sarah Louise Platt.
But the steamy storyline is set to get controversial.
Vera Duckworth, played by Liz Dawn, decides enough is enough and tries to get our Todd banned from the Rovers.
"If you serve him he'll bring in others like him," the fiery housewife tell staff at Weatherfield's hottest nightspot.
Corrie bosses understand that this might prove controversial.
"The decision makers know Vera's words will trigger a reaction," a top source told the Daily Star today.
This is not the first time Coronation Street has courted controversy.
Twenty-one people complained when Todd, played by Bruno Langley, had his - and the soap's - first ever gay kiss.
