Hollywood actor John Travolta and his wife, fellow actor, Kelly Preston have confirmed that they are expecting a new addition to their family.

'Jerry Maguire' star Preston, 47, is reportedly three months pregnant, with her husband writing on his website about the happy news.

The 'Face/Off' star wrote: "It's impossible to keep a secret... especially one as wonderful as this.

"We want to be the first to share this great news that we are expecting a new addition to our family."

Recently, their lives have been marred with tragedy, starting with the death of their teenage son Jett last year which resulted in an extortion court case. Last week an airport tragedy claimed the lives of their two pet dogs which were being walked after a flight.

The star couple have a 10-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, together.

Travolta was one of the biggest stars of the 1970s with hit films such as 'Grease'.

After a quiet 1980s, he came back with Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction' in 1994, bagging an Oscar nomination in the process, reigniting his career. His first Academy Award nomination came for the disco drama 'Saturday Night Fever'.
