Tracy Barlow's abortion scam

'Coronation Street' mum Tracy Barlow pretends she needs an abortion to get her hands on some money - and to get her little girl back.

The schemer, played by actress Kate Ford, tells lover Charlie Stubbs she is having his baby.

The manipulative character knows Charlie, who is played by actor Bill Ward, won't like a baby in the home after he refused to let her two-year-old daughter Amy move in.

Tracy hopes Charlie will offer her cash to terminate the pregnancy - and is thrilled when he hands her £300 and tells her: "Just get rid of it".

She heads to a swanky boutique and splashes out on new shoes, and tells Charlie she bought them from a catalogue.

She then begs the builder to let Amy - who has been staying with her mum, Deirdre - move in with them.

She says: "Because of you I've had to get rid of one baby, I can't lose another.

"I want Amy to live with us."
