After joining I’m a Celebrity, and after getting suspended for leaving her duty as an MP, Nadine Dorries was photographed in Australia working on her tan. This is while there is a backlash over her recent decision and growing public anger.
Ms Dorries justifies her decision by saying that joining the show will help the public better understand her, and in the end, will trust her more. Reportedly, she added that she has never taken a week away during Parliamentary time, whereas a lots of other MPs supposedly have.
The MP was suspended from her post after jetting to Australia.
With her controversial decision to join the TV show hosted by popular duo Ant and Dec, comes speculations that Ms Dorries will be an early target for the show’s notorious ‘Bushtucker Trials’ (which include eating kangaroo testicles and being encased with rats, snakes, and insects).
Ms Dorries said, as quoted by the Mail Online: “I was too busy before going to Australia to dread the trials. But I will try very hard not to break down.
“I knew there would be no food, but to discover there isn’t any tea or coffee was a shock. It will freak me out that I won’t know if President Obama has won or not.”
