Surviving Monty Python stars to reunite for new stage show

Terry Jones has confirmed that all the surviving Monty Python members will reunite for a stage show.

Terry Jones has confirmed that all the surviving Monty Python members are going to reunite and put on a show.
This news is expected to be officially announced at a press conference in London on Thursday.
Jones told the BBC: "We're getting together and putting on a show - it's real.”

"I'm quite excited about it. I hope it makes us a lot of money. I hope to be able to pay off my mortgage!"

The show, which was first revealed in The Sun, will feature John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin, and Jones. Sixth member Graham Chapman died in 1989.
Eric Idle took to Twitter on Monday to confirm the news:
"Only three days to go till the Python press conference. Make sure Python fans are alerted to the big forthcoming news event."

He added on Tuesday: "Python meeting this morning. Can't wait. Press Conference Thursday will apparently be live on Sky News. I'll get you the online URL."

This is the first time since last millennium since the Pythons got back together. The last time the remaining five members of the iconic comedy group performed together was in 1998 at the Aspen Comedy Festival.

The comedy group is famed for their groundbreaking TV show Monty Python’s Flying Circus and their four films And Now for Something Completely Different, The Holy Grail, The Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life. Their filmed stage show Live at the Hollywood Bowl is regarded as one of the finest comedy shows released on home entertainment.
