Miranda Kerr has given birth to a baby boy, it has been reported.

Model Kerr, 27, who married British actor Orlando Bloom last July, gave birth in a Los Angeles hospital on 7 January.

The couple first announced news of their pregnancy back in August 2010, just a few weeks after their wedding.

Miranda's parents flew to LA from Australia in December to show their support for the pair.

She told an Australian newspaper:

"I've always been open about wanting to be a mother one day, and I've always thought Orlando would be a great dad.

"I think having children and pregnancy is a part of life, I look at how models like Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio have done it and made it part of their lives."
