Millions of film fans have downloaded the trailer for 'Spider-Man 3' - less than 12 hours after it was posted on the internet.

The film - which will be released worldwide in May 2007 - is already one of the most hotly anticipated movies of the decade.

Simon Thompson from BANG Showbiz was one of the first to watch it.

He said: "It is breathtaking stuff. There's no doubt that the studio has got another massive hit on its hands. This will be the movie of 2007.

"It looks like the movie has got it all - love, conflict, thrills and some of the most amazing stunts and special effects you will see."

The second sequel reunites stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and sees the web-slinging superhero face four super-villains.

So far Venom, Sandman, and Green Goblin all feature in the trailer - but the identity of the possible final nemesis has yet to be revealed.

'Spider-Man' and 'Spider-Man 2' both broke box office records when they were released in 2002 and 2004 respectively - taking over $1.6 billion combined worldwide.
