Billy Jackson could make a surprise return to EastEnders to see his sister's wedding.

Sonia Jackson's younger brother was last seen round the Square in 1997, before he was forced to go into hiding after being an unwitting witness to a crime.

But now, with Sonia - played by Natalie Cassidy - preparing to tie the knot with Martin Fowler - played by James Alexandrou - he could be set to join other members of the fictional family at the wedding.

The Sun newspaper reports that Devon Anderson, who starred as youngster Billy in the late nineties, may be asked by show bosses to return for the event, although another actor may take his place.

Dean Gaffney, who played Sonia's elder brother Robbie, has already been confirmed as making an appearance, while Patsy Palmer is also tipped to come back as big sister Bianca.

The newspaper quotes an "insider" as saying: "It would be great to get the Jackson clan together again."

"You forget how great the Jacksons were. Some of their barneys could put the Slaters to shame."
