Fiery Corrie stunner Karen McDonald is set oust Eileen Grimshaw from her home so that she can buy a place in the sun.

The Daily Star has revealed that the heartless wife of cabbie Steve gets carried away when she sees an advert for buy-to-let foreign property in a glossy magazine.

The raven-haired vixen is sick of the Weatherfield weather and wants to sun herself in the Costas - she sees the property Eileen is renting from Steve as her chance to get away from the Street.

"Eileen's sitting on our fortune! We've got to sell up," Karen, played by hottie Suranne Jones, bellows at Steve.

But things are less simple than they seem.

With Steve being bled dry by trampy Tracy for his illegitimate love-child he is strapped for cash, and is reluctant to evict Eileen.

The McDonald twin, played by Simon Gregson, is fond of employee Eileen and knows she cannot afford to buy the house she lives in.

"Steve is sensitive to what the rest of Weatherfield will think of him if he allows Eileen to be booted out," a Corrie insider told the Star.

"[Steve] likes Eileen, but he also knows what his missus is like when she gets an idea into her head. It is murder trying to shift her."

Steve is scared Karen will find out how much he is handing over to Tracy, and also has concerns about parting with that much cash for a place he will rarely visit, the Star revealed.

"But Karen does have ideas above her station, and looks down on the other residents in Weatherfield," the Corrie insider commented.

"So he [Steve] knows he's going to be in big bother unless he keeps her happy somehow."
