Joss Stone claims she was saved from being shot by supernatural vibes.

The teenage singer revealed she narrowly avoided being caught up in gunfire after the MTV Video Music Awards where hip-hop record boss Suge Knight was shot.

Joss had been sitting near the mogul with her boyfriend, Beau Dozier, when a sixth sense told her to leave.

She is quoted by America's New York Daily News newspaper as saying: "I left a few minutes before it happened. I was with Beau and told him, 'I've got to get out of here now. I have a bad feeling.'"

This is not the first time Joss has been helped by a sixth sense.

She recently credited her superstitious father with helping her become such a successful singer.

Joss explained: "My dad told me to write down anything that you want in life, no matter how stupid it is, how ridiculous it is, and fold it up and put it behind a picture of somebody that you love. And it's kind of working."
