'Coronation Street' hunk Jamie Baldwin is to be tested if he is gay by Sean Tully, in a new storyline.
The handsome lad's girlfriend Violet Wilson asks the camp factory worker to find out if her boyfriend is interested in men after he goes off sex with her.
Despite repeated attempts to get him in the mood for love, including dressing up in sexy lingerie, Jamie still spurns her advances.
After noticing Jamie, played by actor Rupert Hill, seems to prefer going out to Manchester's Gay Village with friend Sean, Violet begins to suspect he is hiding his true sexuality.
The Rovers Return barmaid hatches a cunning plan to find out and asks Sean, actor Antony Cotton, to take him to a gay bar, get him drunk and see what happens.
However, Violet's ploy backfires, when Sean tells her there is no way Jamie is homosexual.
After their night out, Sean tells her: "Honestly, he's straighter than a die and well beyond conversion to my exclusive club.
"When he didn't show any interest in my mates I threw myself at him like a cheap whore, but he didn't want to know."
Violet, played by actress Jenny Platt, is then left with a further dilemma and begins to wonder if the reason he doesn't want to have sex is because he isn't attracted to her anymore.
