Geri Halliwell is set to star in 'EastEnders'.
The former Spice Girl is allegedly having a role specially created for her after she told bosses she was a huge fan of the soap and it was her dream to act in it.
Geri, who recently gave birth to her first daughter Bluebell Madonna, is being tipped to join the Branning family, which includes Jim and his wife, long-serving character Dot, played by 79-year-old June Brown.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "She has been an 'EastEnders' fan for years and thinks it is consistently great."
The source added: "The Branning family are particular favourites and when the characters Bradley and Max turned up with their flame-red hair it got Geri thinking."
A show spokesperson has confirmed bosses are interested in Geri appearing on the show.
The spokesperson said: "If we can find a part that's right for her, talks will take place."
It is not the first time Geri, better known as Ginger Spice, has turned her hand to acting.
The 33-year-old star appeared in the movie 'Spiceworld' with the other Spice Girls in 1997, and also had a cameo role in hit US series 'Sex And The City' in 2003.
