Nicole Scherzinger will join the X Factor as guest judge, it has been revealed.
The Pussycat Dolls singer who found herself fired as a judge on the X Factor USA after just one season, will be the latest temporary judge after Geri Halliwell, Leona Lewis and Rita Ora stood in over the last week.
Scherzinger, who was also a guest judge on the reality show in 2010, said:
"I'm super excited to be back in London for The X Factor!
"Last time I was here we found One Direction and I can't wait to find more unique and interesting talent here in the UK."
Following the departure of Kelly Rowland and Dannii Minogue turning down the chance to return to the panel, a full-time fourth judge has yet to be found.
Geri Halliwell and Rita Ora have been reported to be the closest stars to sign on the dotted line, despite both being criticised for their performance.
Halliwell, who has outsold the rest of the judging panel combined, reportedly drew boos from the audience and failed to gel with Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos during her stint.
Meanwhile OraÂ’s lack of experience was said to have let her down, with an insider telling The Sun:
"She felt a bit out of her depth. SheÂ’s only 21 and lacks the confidence of someone like Tulisa."
The X Factor auditions continue today at LondonÂ’s O2 Arena.
