Galaxy SIII, the compact version of the world’s best-selling Android phone that comes with free games, will hit the shops on November 8th. Designed to compete directly with Apple’s new iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy SIII has a 4” screen; smaller compared to the regular 4.8” version. It runs on dual core processor and its aimed at a more mid-range market.
Launching the new product before the holidays, Samsung expect to take advantage of Christmas upgrades. Shoppers who find larger screens of top Android phones too cumbersome, will find the new Samsung product appealing. Just like the regular SIII, SII mini is also using Android Jelly Bean (version 4.1).
Some of the key features that shoppers can look forward to are 50GB storage for two years, Direct Call, voice operation system S Voice, and Smart Stay, which keeps the screen illuminated by detecting if a user is viewing it.
Simon Stanford, Samsung’s UK Vice President for Telecommunications and Networks, claimed: "The Galaxy S III Mini brings the high performance, intuitive ease-of-use and nature-inspired design of the Galaxy S III in a new elegant yet compact form.”
