'EastEnders' teenager Ruby Allen will be left unconscious after being brutally mugged.

The pretty brunette, played by actress Louisa Lytton, is returning £2,000 to the safe of Scarlett's nightclub, owned by her imprisoned gangster father Johnny Allen, when the attack happens.

Ruby had taken the large sum of money out of the club, behind manager Jake Moon's back, to go on a girlie holiday but decided to return it after being wracked by guilt.

However, her decision will backfire and as she putting the cash back, Ruby will be smashed to the ground by a disguised assailant.

Ruby eventually comes round after the attack and is left stunned after she discovers who the mugger is.

Rumours are rife among 'EastEnders' fans that her ex-boyfriend Juley, who viewers have seen fall on hard times recently, is responsible.

The dramatic scenes will air on BBC1 next Monday (24.07.06).
