The Royle Family looks set to return to our screens, in a holiday special.

A series of one-off episodes, showing the Scousers on a caravan holiday, could be produced, the Daily Star has revealed.

While on holiday the family return to form, and do nothing by watch telly.

Reports indicate the new special episodes are part of a BBC battle for ratings.

But the new shows have not been made yet.

While Ricky Tomlinson (Jim) and Sue Johnston (Barbara) are reported to be keen to return to the family, writers Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash (Diane and Dave) will have to make up after coming into conflict over the less successful comedy "Early Doors".
