CES 2017 is showcasing a new range of gadgets that take neurotechnology to the next level. The new wearables offer drug-free alternatives to soothing chronic pain and feelings of nausea.
One of them is Reliefband Neurowave, which is clinically proven to stop you from feeling sick. It works by sending a pattern of electric pulses to the part of the brain that controls the feelings of nausea. It targets people who suffer from travel sickness and women who have morning sickness whilst pregnant.
Another new neuromodulation gadget is Sublimed designed to help manage chronic pain using electrical impulses. The device is yet to be certified and is thus not yet available in the market. A similar wearable technology is Quell, which stimulates sensory nerves triggering the body’s natural pain relief response.
