Scott Mills has stepped aside from his Radio One drive time show after eight years and is to be replaced by afternoon DJ, Greg James.
In a huge shake-up at the station, Mills will take over Greg's previous 1pm to 4pm slot, while James will be on air from 4pm.
Of the move, Greg said:
"My dream job just keeps getting better and better. I canÂ’t wait to get going with the new show!"
T4 presenter Jameela Jamil has also joined the station to host the new Radio One request show, which will be broadcast every Sunday between 7pm and 9pm.
Edith Bowman, who hosts the weekend breakfast show, has not escaped the effects of the re-shuffle, being replaced by Radio 1Xtra's Gemma Cairney.
Cairney, who has presented the afternoon show on Radio One's sister station for three years, said:
"I arrived at 1Xtra just over three years ago a wide eyed puppy and soon became obsessed with all things radio.
"It will be really emotional, but I'm only moving downstairs to Radio One and I can't wait for all the new fun it'll bring."
Bowman will now be moved to a mid-week slot, hosting the Radio One review show on Tuesday nights between 9pm and 10pm.
On the changes to the schedule Ben Cooper, Radio One and Radio 1Xtra controller, said:
"These are exciting times at Radio 1 & 1Xtra. The latest changes are about attracting even more young listeners by bringing in new and fresh talent to the stations.
"At the end of last year we announced changes to the specialist music line-up, so IÂ’m really looking forward to hearing the new line up in full when we launch in April."
The new changes will come into force on 2 April.
