Every year Queen Elizabeth addresses the UK with speeches such as wishing citizens a Merry Christmas or lavishly opening Parliament.
There was also one speech drafted in 1983 that civil servants prepared in the event of outbreak of World War III.
The script has the monarch telling the whole country about Britain’s involvement in a nuclear conflict. It also mentions Prince Andrew, who was in the Royal Navy back then.
The Queen’s address, which was prepared to be broadcast on March 4th, 1983, sought to prepare the country for the ordeal of World War III.
It reads: "The horrors of war could not have seemed more remote as my family and I shared our Christmas joy with the growing family of the Commonwealth.
"Now, this madness of war is once more spreading through the world and our brave country must again prepare itself to survive against great odds.”
