Pull out Britain from European Union says 51% of voters

Support for EU pull out is at its highest level for 30 years based on poll...

As David Cameron prepares to announce that he supports a referendum on membership of European Union, and that he favours EU plans to mount a multi-million pound pro-Brussels propaganda offensive to counter hardening Eurosceptic sentiment, the poll came saying that 51% of voters want to pull out from European Union.

As reported by the Mail Online, this news comes with the poll also concluding that support for the pull out is at its highest level for 30 years. 

 

During Margaret Thatcher’s first term in government, only two thirds of voters wanted to leave the European Union. 

 

On Tuesday, MEPs will vote in the European Parliament for a campaign to designate 2013 “Year of European Citizens.”

 

Backed by a 1.75 million euros, this aims to raise awareness of the benefits of being a EU member. 

 

Tim Aker, from the anti-EU group Get Britain Out, said in the report by the Mail Online: “The EU should not be using our hard-earned cash to promote the so-called benefits of EU membership.”

 

He added: “The EU should stand back and let the British people decide.”
