OJ Simpson, who isn’t new to making headlines, launched a new bid to get out of prison.
The former actor and American football star, who was cleared of murdering ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1995, was convicted of armed robbery in 2008.
He was sentenced to 33 years in prison.
Las Vegas judge Linda Marie Bell reportedly agreed to Simpson’s request for a new trial.
According to The Sun, the judge agreed to consider 18 questions raised in an appeal by OJ’s lawyer Patricia Palm - who claims that Simpson’s former lawyer, Yale Galanter, had “personal and business interests” that prevented Simpson from getting a fair representation.
It is believed that OJ Simpson will testify for this new trial.
