Julia Roberts is moving from the big screen to the Broadway stage.
The 'Pretty Woman' actress will appear in the play 'Three Days of Rain' this spring.
The stunning redhead, who has little theatre experience, has been battling nerves ever since agreeing to take on a role in the three-person show.
She told America's New York Times newspaper: "By the time I get there, I'll be entirely apoplectic.
"But the terror is part of the excitement."
The play tells the story of a brother, a sister and a family friend delving into their parents' past. The actors play the children in the first act and the parents in the second.
The 37-year-old Oscar winner said the unusual structure appealed to her as soon as she read the script.
She revealed: "I love its complications. I love the opportunity to get to play someone in contemporary times and then play the mother 30 years earlier."
Julia will star in the play for 12 weeks, beginning in March.
The two male actors have yet to be confirmed, as has the theatre where the play will be staged.
