Sir Paul McCartney has confessed he dyes his hair.
The Beatles legend, 63, admits he tries to maintain his youthful looks by colouring his locks - but has had some dyeing disasters in the past.
The singer, who is married to model Heather Mills, revealed: "Ten years before I met Heather I was thinking about dyeing my hair.
"I tried it in Australia - it looked cool until I went on stage. Then this blue liquid poured down my forehead. Highly embarrassing."
Sir Paul also admits he finds it difficult seeing himself as an older man.
The superstar, who recently became a father for the fourth time when Heather gave birth to his baby daughter, Beatrice, confessed to Britain's Q magazine: "Seeing my image looking older hits me. I just have to come to terms with it."
Meanwhile, Sir Paul, who is about to release his latest record, 'Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard', has conceded some of his old songs were "rubbish".
The star - who wrote all The Beatles' biggest hits with John Lennon - admits he often cringes when he listens to old albums.
He said: "Some of my albums, I can't believe what I was on."
