Singer and former Disney star Christina Aguilera has been arrested for suspected public intoxication.
According to a report by TMZ, the star was described as being "extremely intoxicated" and "unable to take care of herself".
Thirty-year-old Aguilera and her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, 25, were spotted in the early hours of 1 March "driving erratically".
The pair were pulled over immediately and arrested.
They were taken to the Sheriff's substation in West Hollywood, where Matthew was charged for driving under the influence.
Chief public information officer for the L.A. Sheriff's Department, Steve Whitmore, spoke at a press conference and described the situation as "unique":
"When she got out of the car, she couldn't stand. We had to help her stand.
"She didn't know where she was and she didn't know her own address. We took her into custody for her own protection.
"She was co-operative and she was not belligerent in any way whatsoever. She was just intoxicated"
Aguilera has now been released without charge and Rutler's bail has reportedly been set at $30,000.
This is just the latest in a series of embarrassing events for the star.
She was forced to apologise for mixing up the words to the National Anthem during her performance at the Super Bowl on 6 February.
Aguilera also tripped and fell on the floor at the Grammy's while taking part in a tribute to R & B legend Aretha Franklin.
