Brad Pitt has confessed he knew his marriage to Jennifer Aniston would never last.

The Hollywood heartthrob - who is rumoured to be romancing Angelina Jolie - has finally spoken out about his divorce.

Pitt said he never expected to be wed forever and called his high profile break up from the former 'Friends' actress "beautiful".

The 41-year-old revealed: "It's talked about like it failed. I guess because it wasn't flawless.

"Me, I embrace the messiness of life. I find it so beautiful, actually. The idea that marriage has to be for all time - that I don't understand."

The sexy star also vehemently denied in the interview with Britain's GQ magazine that he is dating his 'Mr & Mrs Smith' co-star Angelina - saying he wants to punch the person responsible for the "nasty" rumour.

Pitt also revealed how he wants to quit acting in a "few years" to start a family.

Meanwhile, the actor has reportedly given Aniston the Hollywood mansion they used to share.

The star is said to have scrapped plans to sell their lavish home - which took the former couple two years to renovate - after learning Jennifer wanted to make it her own.

Meanwhile, Brad is allegedly searching for a new home in London.
