Bulking up for his new role forced Brad Pitt to quit smoking - and he hated it.
Pitt is set to hit cinema screens this summer as the legendary hero Achilles in the film "Troy", and to play the part Brad had to build up his muscles and increase his fitness.
He was told that he could not handle the training if he kept on puffing.
"The trainer warned me that every day would be unpleasant. He was right," the Fight Club star told German magazine Cinema.
However the experience proved handy as Achilles is famously quick to anger and a bloody killer.
"The withdrawal was so hard that I was ready to kill - which was actually helpful for the role I was playing," he commented.
However, things seem to have worked out well for Mr Aniston.
"I'm now happy about [quitting] because these things were killing me. But at first I was really missing my cigarettes."
