Philip Seymour Hoffman autopsy reports 'inconclusive'

The results of a post-mortem examination conducted on Monday were inconclusive despite suspicions that the actor’s death was by drug overdose.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out to establish the cause of death of Hollywood actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. The results of the examination, which was conducted on Monday, were inconclusive. 

 

However, further tests have been ordered on the body. Despite this, an investigation into the Capote actor’s death has led to three suspects facing drug charges. 

 

According to police officers, one of the four people who were arrested had the actor’s phone number saved on his mobile. 

 

Robert Vineberg is now facing felony charge of heroin possession with intent to sell, while Juliana Luchkiv and Max Rosenblum are facing misdemeanor charges for possessing cocaine. The fourth person was released without charge. 

 

Robert Vineberg, through his lawyer, has denied the charges. "This case and the charges against Mr Vineberg have absolutely nothing to do with the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman," Edward Kratt said.

 

"We're hoping the (district attorney) will not use Mr Vineberg as a scapegoat."

 

However, he did not deny nor confirm if Vineberg knew Hoffman. 

 

The 46-year-old actor was found dead at his home, apparently with a needle in his arm.
