Paul McCartney's daughter Stella is expecting her first child.

Stella McCartney has revealed that she is expecting her first child.

The talented fashion designer chose the launch of her new spring/summer collection at Paris Fashion Week to make the announcement.

Indicating that she did not want to know whether she is expecting a boy or a girl, the 33-year old daughter of former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney said: "I want it to be a natural thing. I want it to be a surprise."

Ms McCartney married former publisher Alasdhair Willis in August last year, in a ceremony on the Isle of Bute.

The announcement of the pregnancy follows weeks of speculation.

The baby is due in March and will be 17 months younger that Beatrice, Paul McCartney's daughter by second wife Heather Mills.
