Gwyneth Paltrow has her own hotline to the police - because she is so scared of stalkers.

The Oscar-winning beauty - who is married to Coldplay star Chris Martin - reportedly put her local police station on speed dial after being harassed by an obsessed fan last year.

The actress was left terrified after the stalker waited outside her London home - and even followed her when she took her baby daughter, Apple, out.

The man was cautioned but the star still lives in fear of further harassment.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Gwyneth was really freaked out by the incident. She would leave the house to take Apple for a walk but would feel like she was being followed.

"And because of a really bad experience she had with an oddball stalker in America a few years ago, she decided to contact the police. She just wanted to feel safe when Chris was out recording."

Earlier this year, the actress confessed she is terrified she could meet the same fate as Princess Diana.

The star said the paparazzi are so relentless in pursuing her she fears she could end up in a fatal accident - just as the princess did in Paris in 1997.
