'Deal Or No Deal' presenter Noel Edmonds has received two nominations for this year's National TV Awards.

The 57-year-old star has been shortlisted in the 'Most Popular Presenter' category, while his hit Channel 4 game show 'Deal Or No Deal' is in line for the 'Most Popular Daytime Programme' prize.

Noel - who has failed to win a National TV Award since his career began in the 70s - is facing stiff competition from Ant and Dec, Jonathan Ross, Paul O'Grady and Davina McCall to be named Most Popular Presenter.

'Deal Or No Deal' is up against 'Neighbours', 'This Morning' and 'The New Paul O'Grady Show'.

The prestigious ceremony takes place at London's world famous Royal Albert Hall on October 31.

Other categories include Most Popular Actor, in which 'Coronation Street' star Bradley Walsh is one of the favourites to win, Most Popular Drama and Most Popular TV Contender in which former 'Big Brother' lovers Nikki Grahame and Pete Bennett are set to go head-to-head.
