'EastEnders' star Nigel Harman says he still has no idea how his character will exit the soap.
The handsome actor, who plays reformed bad-boy Dennis in the hit BBC show, is leaving the programme in January, while his on-screen wife Sharon, played by Letitia Dean, is also taking a break.
Bosses are keeping details of the storyline under wraps to keep viewers guessing whether they have a happy or sad ending.
Harman insists not even he knows how Dennis will bid farewell to Albert Square - and is dreading the clichéd taxi exit so many other former characters have finished.
He is quoted on the Sky News website as saying: "I think it should be dramatic. I will be furious if I end up leaving in the back of a cab.
"But as yet, everyone refuses to tell me."
Harman is quitting 'EastEnders' to tread the boards in London's West End.
The heartthrob actor will take over from Hollywood star Ewan McGregor in popular musical 'Guys and Dolls'.
