Portman Building Society has launched two new savings accounts which it feels will help people looking to put away a few pennies.
The first account is the new 60-Day Notice Account, which pays up to 4.50 per cent and has a minimum investment of 5,000.
Secondly, the beginning of next month sees the launch of the Portman Classic account, which offers interest payments on a monthly and annual basis, and is available through the Portman and The Staffordshire.
"These accounts will provide our customers with even more choice when it comes to deciding how they manage their savings," says Portman's press officer, Lynsey Hallam. "As a notice account, Portman Classic is designed to keep an investment safe from the temptation of easy access, whilst offering a competitive rate of interest."
In addition, Portman is also launching Signature Gold, a new high interest account which offers instant access with a cheque book. The minimum investment is 10,000.
Ms Hallam added: "The Signature Gold account gives savers greater flexibility combined with the benefits of a high interest cheque book account."
