Big Brother viewers this year will see more of the contestants than ever before.
Designers of the house for the sixth series of the Channel 4 reality show have increased the use of glass and introduced a glass wall between the main living space and the one bedroom all the contestants will share.
The glass means that most of the contestants will be visible to the other housemates at all times, with nowhere to hide.
This year's housemates will reportedly find themselves exposed to the camera from every angle and producers are set to make competition even tougher.
A spokeswoman for the Channel 4 series told The Independent: "The house looks really funky and aspirational and the contestants will probably think it is really cool when they first get in there.
"But they will find it is actually a very difficult place to live. There will be no hiding, but it's not supposed to be a holiday camp. This is a competition."
The new series of Big Brother sees contestants enter the house at 9pm on Friday and, as ever, their identities will remain a secret until then. Producers have not yet revealed how many contestants will take part.
Big Brother will go head-to-head with ITV1's Celebrity Love Island, which has been losing viewers rapidly and has been branded 'boring' by critics.
