Halle Berry has had her dreams of starring in 'Desperate Housewives' shattered by its cast - who reportedly claim she would 'cheapen' the show.
The Hollywood beauty has allegedly been banned from being cast in the hit US show by its leading ladies - Terri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Nicolette Sheridan - because they feared she could ruin their hard work.
A source said: "The girls are protective of the show and feel it would be easy for someone like Halle to cheapen what they are trying to achieve - that and she's too beautiful!"
The rejection came just days after the Oscar winner publicly confessed she was desperate for a cameo as one of the show's baddies.
She revealed: "I want to be on the show. I'd have to be a villain. I want to stir up something naughty with Nicolette."
Earlier this year, the 38-year-old actress attended the Golden Raspberries ceremony for Hollywood's worst films.
The sexy star, whose flop movie 'Catwoman' has received more than half a dozen 'Razzies' nominations, said it was important to attend the event as criticism is as valuable as praise.
She said: "I think if you go to the Oscars, you should go and get Razzies. It's all the same, really."
