Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher sniffed glue and got high on magic mushrooms as teenagers.

The rock siblings defended their rebellious past saying drugs are just part of adolescence.

Noel revealed: "It's all part of growing up, though, glue sniffing, the lot!

"OK, so glue's quite filthy and hardcore, but when you've got no money..."

Meanwhile, Liam confessed: "I was always on mushrooms when I was 16. I've got kids now, though, so I can't be doing any of that."

Noel then went on to describe his favourite psychedelic experience - working out the rules to American football.

He said: "I did get my love of American football from drugs. I was watching it on mushrooms and suddenly everything made sense.

"Nobody in England understands the rules but I got it in one night and it was the colours that drew me in. I was like, 'This is incredible.' Before I knew it I'd worked out all the rules!'"
