Mariah Carey wants to turn her 'Merry Christmas' album into a Broadway musical.

The sexy singer is writing a story based around the songs on the hit album, which was released in 1994, and is looking forward to the festive show getting underway.

Mariah - who plans to write two more songs for the show - is quoted by MTV as saying:

"I'm such a festive person, and I love Christmas. I'm so over the top with it that this is a bit much, but it's perfect for me.

"I get a chance to live out my Christmas time fantasies vicariously through the show. I think it's going to be fun and something families can go to see."

Meanwhile, Mariah recently admitted she arranges her lingerie by colour.

The millionaire diva confessed she has a dedicated underwear wardrobe, split into separate sections for her hundreds of bras and panties.

She said: "I have everything laid out in colours so I can pick them out quickly. I have white lingerie, cream, pink, red, blue and lavender. And then there's my whole black lingerie section.

"If somebody bought me brown lingerie then I'd have to build a bigger lingerie cupboard!"
